Compassionate spiritual direction tailored to your unique journey.

  • Are you yearning for a direct relationship with the Divine?

  • Not God as a set of beliefs, but as an embodied energy of Love?

  • Do you recognize the movement of Spirit in your ordinary, daily moments?

  • Are you drawn to a more contemplative life?

  • Embark on a transformative journey of contemplation with an experienced companion, learning to discern the unique movement of the Divine in your everyday life. Whether navigating deep life questions, personal or professional transitions, or grief & loss, spiritual counseling provides compassionate support, guiding you to see more clearly with the eye of the heart.

  • Interspirituality finds common ground between the wisdom traditions, world religions, and ancient spiritual paths, believing that they all share similar mystical roots that complement one other.

  • Centering Prayer is a receptive method of Christian silent prayer or meditation that when practiced regularly deepens a person’s direct relationship with Divine Presence.

  • Contemplation is the practice of being fully present - in heart, mind and body - and listening deeply within and without to the call of Divine Love.

Spiritual Counselor

Marybeth Redmond

It was St. Catherine of Genoa who said, My deepest me is God. My work as a spiritual counselor (or director) is to help a seeker connect with that deepest reservoir of God that resides within them. And to discern its holy movement in their outer lives.

I practice embodied listening with my whole being attuned to a person’s sacred story. I am listening for hints and clues that suggest Divine movement and posing sensitive, insightful questions to help a seeker access more of their own inner knowing. Once excavated, that wisdom and guidance may be put into action according to a person’s unique longings and gifts.

Sometimes connection to one’s inner Mystery is blocked by accumulated guilt, shame, or traumatic histories. Through compassionate listening, silence & stillness, embodied exercises, guided meditation, and the creation of a safe, inclusive, confidential space, I strive to create the conditions for seekers to access and then actualize their deepest hearts.

A growing number of us are called to live as everyday mystics in the world, as theologian Howard Thurman encouraged! How about you?

“Marybeth helped me reconnect with my spiritual life. Through meaningful conversations, reflective exercises, and spiritual practices, she helped me gain clarity about how to align my actions with my spiritual values.”

“If we could discover this great mystery of God in us, we would be truly free, and out of this freedom the seeds of our lives would sprout into a new world of justice and peace.”
